Free Cutting Brass
Also known as free-machining brass is extremely well suited for high speed machining. C36000 alloy is rated 100 and is the standard by which all other copper alloys are compared. The Free Cutting Brass alloy also has superior brazing and soldering properties along with good corrosion resistance making it the preferred choice for manufacturing items from hardware fittings, lock-sets, valve stems to nozzles and faucet components.

Naval Brass
Naval Brass has good strength and rigidity and is noted for its resistance to wear, fatigue and stress cracking. It is readily soldered, brazed and welded. The addition of tin to makes for extra corrosion resistance in seawater and other mildly aggressive environments. Naval Brass alloy’s are a very good choice for the manufacture of components to be used in a marine environment such as precision shipboard equipment, condenser plates, bushings, bearings, heat exchanger tube, turn buckles, shafting, , decorative fittings, marine hardware, missile components, baffle plates, flanges, and fittings. Naval Brass also comes in C46200, C46400, C48200, C48500 alloys.
